Aramid fibers have high strength and 40% lower density as compared to glass fibers. Aramid is a high elastic modulus fiber that costs higher than basalt and glass fibers. Due to expensiveness, aramid fibers are least used fibers for structural applications. Carbon FRPs

Carbon fibers are good at tensile strength and elastic modulus. Carbon fiber reinforced polymer using high and ultra-high modulus carbon fibers are most preferable materials in the aerospace sector. It is because of its strength to weight ratio that is among the highest of all the FRPs.
